Plato III

Ryan Silva, known professionally as Plato III, is an American rapper, producer, and songwriter. After self-releasing several projects throughout the 2010s, Silva found early success with his single "Illuminate," which was featured in the Netflix hit Always Be My Maybe, propelling it to become the number two most Shazamed song in America. In 2021, he wrote, directed, scored, and produced Let Me Be Frank, a feature film released on Amazon Prime and Tubi.

He gained wider attention in 2022 with the release of The Devil Has Texas, the first hip-hop record on legendary indie label Polyvinyl Records. In 2025, his follow-up, Grown, signaled a bold evolution of his artistic vision that deepened his signature storytelling and sonic experimentation. The album was later expanded with a series of remixes featuring an all-star cast of underground and indie-rap luminaries, including clipping., ELUCID, Open Mike Eagle, McKinley Dixon, Bartees Strange, Kelly Moonstone and Kyle Bethel.
